Regardless of your level of experience, this class aims to give you concrete tools to play with a few ropes only. We will explore, through various exercises, several aspects of bondage beyond restriction, including sensuality, vulnerability, pain and exposure. The approach of this course is to leave behind the rigid frame of the Shibari and harness patterns. By thinking outside the box, we let our creativity express itself. We can also focus more on what is going on between us and our partner. Course taught by Mlle Kate and depravedPanther. 18+

About...
Kate (they/she) - This top leaning switch has been active in the Montreal rope community since 2015. Passionate about people, authenticity and mind processes, Kate takes great pleasure in deconstructing dogmas related to rope and BDSM, as well as preconceived ideas that people might have about them.
depravedPanther (him) - Half-man, half-korrigan, this mischievous and rather endearing little beast loves to be manhandled and tormented in ropes. In search of thrills, he got there through the BDSM universe and his favorite game is to explore its many facets.
Land acknowledgement: The city widely known as Montreal is also called Tio'tia: ke. This unceded territory has been a place of meeting and exchange for 5,000 years for multiple nations, including the Haudenosaunee (Kanien’kehà: ka) and Anishinaabeg people. We honor, recognize and respect these nations as guardians of the land and water on which we meet.
When: November 13, noon to 3pm (Montreal/Tio'tia:ke time - EDT) (doors 11:45)
Who: All levels welcome. LGBTQ+ & allies. 18+
Solo or Partnered: The exercises are done with a partner. Thus, it’s better to come 2 by 2. You can however come alone to observe, or hoping find someone to practice with on the spot. Each participant needs a ticket.
Language: English/French (will be adapted to participants)
Prerequisites: None
Material needed: 3 ropes (8-9m), your safety tool. Prepare an emergency plan if you follow the class online and plan on self-tying.
Dresscode: Comfortable, flexible clothing. Genitals covered.
Format: Hybrid. In person; a proof of vaccination or testing in the previous week will be asked upon entrance. Online; not recorded
Cost: In person: $20/$30/$40; Online: $20/$25/$30. Promotion: If you attend the 3 activities of the day (lessons, skillshare and play party), you will benefit from a $10 discount. --- Access to rope activities has for a long time been only accessible to financially privileged people. In the aim to share that privilege, please choose the rate that works for you financially. We trust you. <3
