Speakers: Serge Perreault (Élément 08), Marc Legault (UQAT) and Patrice Roy (MERN) (Offered only in French)
Abstract: Geometallurgy is a concept that combines the practices of geology, geostatistics, extractive metallurgy and environmental management (geoenvironment) in order to make mining projects robust and predictive, taking into account mineral resources, extraction processes and societal, environmental and economic issues. The objective of this workshop is to present some elements of a geometallurgy and geoenvironment program for critical and strategic minerals, namely mineralogical characterization, extractive hydrometallurgy and environmental management.
