Speakers: Dominique Genna (UQAC), Morgane Giroux (UQAM), Benoit Lafrance (CONSOREM-UQAC), Jérôme Lavoie (UQAC) and Silvain Rafini (UQAC) (Offered only in French)

Abstract: This workshop presents the results of research projects carried out in 2020 by CONSOREM (Consortium de recherche en exploration minérale) researchers. CONSOREM is a pre-competitive applied research partnership dedicated to the production of state-of-the-art knowledge and methods for mineral exploration in Quebec, as well as training and knowledge transfer. The results of seven projects will be presented, covering a broad spectrum of mineral exploration themes:

1. Linking till and lake-bottom sediment geochemistry for secondary environment exploration;

2. Synthesis and integration of knowledge and tools on the footprint of hydrothermal deposits;

3. Automated processing of magnetometer survey results and development of the MAGNETOMODELEUR prototyping software tool (phase V);

4. Underground hydrogeochemistry, a new exploration method (phase IV);

5. Metallogenic, metamorphic and structural synthesis of Eeyou Istchee James Bay;

6. Comparative performance of machine learning algorithms for mineral exploration;

7. Mapping of resistivity zones from electromagnetic waves (EM).
