Gilad Hekselman belongs to a generation of New York musicians originating from Israel. In just one decade, he has established himself as one of the most influential guitarists of our time. His albums Hearts Wide Open (2011) and Home (2016), recorded with Joe Martin, Marcus Gilmore and Mark Turner, revealed a unique creative talent that continues to grow in fascinating directions. In 2018, Mr. Hekselman released Ask for Chaos, an album inspired by the chaotic world in which we are immersed, and the music we offer in resistance. This album brought together two trios, the electric Zuper Octave and the acoustic gHex Trio, and was recorded with bassist Rick Rosato and drummer Jonathan Pinson.
