The multimedia presentation accounts for the discoveries made and adventures endured during the first stage, half of this ambitious cycling odyssey : 21,000 kilometres on a bicycle from Norway's fjords to Tanzania's fabled Zanzibar on the lookout for Saami, Rom, Yörük, Bedouin, Afar, Hamer, Banna, Karo, Dassanech, Turkana, Pokot, Samburu, Maasai, Twa Pygmy, Barabaig, Datoga, and Hadza nomadic peoples!

Janick Lemieux & Pierre Bouchard

anick Lemieux is originally from St. Hyacinthe, Quebec but moved to Western Canada in 1991. Since then, she has travelled the world, first with a backpack then from the saddle of a mountain bike. Pierre Bouchard, born in Quebec City, left Université Laval's Faculty of Philosophy classrooms in 1990 to undertake what Descartes called the study of "The Great Book of the World"...on his bicycle! The Canadian adventurers share their lives and the road since 1997. Together, they combine more than 250,000 kilometres of pedalled ventures in about 80 countries of the Americas, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa. After having attempted and completed many a continental loop and crossing, along with a theme-based expedition (''Cycling the Pacific Ring of Fire''), the couple embarked in June, 2014 onto yet another ''pedalled inquiry'', an exploration project aiming to identify and understand the various challenges that are facing the contemporary nomadic peoples who wander and live between Europe's northermost point, Nordkapp, and Africa's southern end, Cape Agulhas : NOMADS² cycling odyssey...nomads by nomads from cape to cape! Back in Canada in April, 2016 after having completed the first stage, an epic 21-month and 21,000-kilometre ride from Norway to Tanzania, they consider themselves halfway through the investigative voyage, sharing adventures and discoveries harvested thus far, regrouping, and...preparing for the next stage! nomadesxnomades.com/en
