LAVOEXMANE—Jermaine Holmes and Rojo LaVoe, known for their work with legends like D'Angelo, Meli'sa Morgan, and Pete Rock—this event promises an immersive experience that transcends genres. Opening the night is the incredibly talented Thaïs Sala, a singer/songwriter and producer with a unique fusion of electronic rhythms and soulful vocals. Thaïs blends influences from jazz, soul, and hip hop, drawing inspiration from icons like Sade and Erykah Badu, creating a sonic duality that spans from delicate melodies to powerful, husky rolls.

LAVOEXMANE

Grammy Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, and producer Jermaine Holmes, alongside the multi-talented singer Rojo LaVoe, live in Montreal on January 17th!

Together, they have collaborated with legendary artists like D’Angelo, Meli’sa Morgan, Daniel Lanois, LiV Warfield, MonoNeon, Bobby Sparks, Pete Rock and the Soul Brothers, Marcus Machado, Chris Dave and the DrumHedz, Ray Angry, and more. Charles Middleton (more commonly known as Redd or Rojo LaVoe) & Jermaine Holmes have an endless playlist of work to go with their infectious energy! From stage, TV, studio, Grammy’s, and side-by-side touring — these two have done it all!

Together as LaVoe & Maine, Jermaine Holmes and Charles Middleton will be sure to assuage everyone in hearing with an experience travelling through Jermaine’s smooth grooves, Rojo’s dance challenges, and both of their soul-expanding R&B. Come ready to discover yourself, be brought up to “Another Level,” and be taken “HIGHER in Your Love”!

Thaïs Sala

Thaïs Sala is a singer/songwriter, producer and cultural curator. She grew up between Marrakech and the UK before pursuing studies in Montreal, where she integrated a community of musicians with whom she continues to hone her sonic identity. An audiovisual addict, she approaches her craft through “sight, sound and soul”, pairing her passions for music and visual art, in stillness and movement. Her music blends electronic rhythm with soulful vocals oscillating from crystalline honeyed notes to her low husky roll, a sonic duality of vulnerability and strength. Her childhood home was filled with jazz, bossa nova, soul and hip hop. Influenced by Sade, Erykah Badu and India Arie, she credits them as having taught her to sing.
