Concert 2 – A Persian-Inca Encounter

Showan Tavakol *(kamancheh) and Federico Tarazona (charango)

Sunday, September 19 – 7 p.m.

The Perse-Inca duo, made up of Showan Tavakol and Federico Tarazona, brings together its artists’ languages, techniques and aesthetics, offering a fascinating and innovative dialogue between two ancestral peoples, embodied by the kamancheh, from Iran, and the charango, from the Andes.

--------------

The free concert series Musique, horizons lointains invites you to explore faraway musical territories through artists with rich traditions from Iran, Peru, Brazil and Argentina. Each musician will share the sense of the tradition they have mastered and the search for new horizons to take us beyond geographical and temporal borders. Listening differently to instruments such as the setar, the charango, the piano or the bandoneon will then allow you to better feel the pulse of each tradition, its future and its universal values …

Discover the program and reserve your seat every Monday 11 a.m. before the concert of the week (taking place every Sunday)!
