The distinguished duo Alfa Rococo returns to us with “Make me dream”, the group's 5th album, which offers choruses and grooves as catchy as ever but which also transports us into a universe where dreams become a refuge from the challenges of our time.
Through captivating melodies and touching lyrics, this sincere and powerful album evokes freedom and the beauty of escape and deals with subjects dear to the group for a long time such as the quest for the present moment and the strength of union.
Each track is an invitation to dive into a world where imagination stands as a shield against harsh reality, encouraging us to embrace our dreams and seek the light, even in the darkest moments. This album is an ode to souls in search of meaning, an invitation to feel, reflect and rise, while maintaining a sense of celebration. It is an act of resistance against despair and an invitation to reconnect with our most intimate aspirations.
The duo wanted the creation of this album to be a collective adventure. The unique sound of Alfa Rococo therefore takes on a new dimension here thanks to multiple collaborations. Laurence Nerbonne, Alexandre Désilets, D R M S, Imposs, Steeven Chouinard (Le Couleur) and Mathieu Lippé participated in the writing and composition of certain pieces, thus injecting an additional dose of audacity. All of this demonstrates Alfa Rococo’s commitment to quality and originality.
To enhance its fifth opus, the group has also surrounded itself with experienced musicians and technicians. The drums of Maxime Bellavance and Marc Chartrain, the basses of François Plante, the keyboards of François Lafontaine and Louis-Joseph Cliche as well as the percussion of Francis Roberge were added to the guitars and voices of David Bussières and Justine Laberge-Vaugeois. Recorded at Studio Dandurand, the sound recording by Guillaume Chartrain and the mixing by Seb Ruban (Sébastien Blais-Montpetit) give the album a wide and powerful sound. The result is unequivocal: Make me dream is a daring and unifying work that transcends the boundaries of electro-pop.
Crafted with careful production and rich emotional depth, “Make Me Dream” delivers a musical experience that resonates with us long after the last note.
