Alex Nicol

Alex Nicol is a Canadian-German folk singer/songwriter currently based in Montreal. Alex supported The House of Love (Creation Records) on their 30th Anniversary Tour across North America.

Alex’s first solo record, All For Nada (2020), garnered support from La Blogotheque who said “this album is a masterpiece” and asked Alex to perform one of their first “Stay Away” shows. In 2023, Alex released Been A Long Year Vol. 1 and 2, a collection of deeply personal songs that showcase his haunting voice and deft lyricism. Alex was invited for an in-person interview / live performance by John Kennedy on Radio X in London, and a live in-session performance and German-language interview on Radio Eins.

Winona Forever

A high-school project that has (thankfully) persisted over time, Winona Forever scored its first big hit in 2019 with Feelgood, an album delivering a comfortable blend of garage, jangle and jazz influences. With almost 7 million streams to date, the single Keep Kool is a convincing example of a band in full chemistry, rejecting convention with saxophone and distortion. After acclaimed appearances at SXSW and Sled Island, as well as a series of North American tours, the band is back in 2023 with Acrobat, an LP with an unforgettable cover... whether you like it or not.

Sorry Girls

Sorry Girls have danced out of the darkness into the light. Since forming in 2015, the Montreal duo of Heather Foster Kirkpatrick and Dylan Konrad Obront have transformed an eerie, dreamlike sound into lush, pleasure seeking pop.
