The last year brought new challenges, and more than ever, we learned that sometimes we need to take matters into our own hands. Whether you were always interested in self-tying or just now taking an interest in it, usually tying or getting tied, or never really tied before, you might be looking to expand your knowledge and explore further the realm of solo rope.

In this class, we’ll give you practical tools to begin to have fun with rope by yourself. We'll explore self-tie basics, look into non structural ties and self-tie cheats, and explore ways to implement play into your self tie practice, as well as demoing stretching and warm up. Consider this a starters kit for the world of self tying. Class taught by Kosmick; facilitated by Mlle Kate.

Who: All levels welcome. LGBTQ+ & allies. 18+

Prerequisites: Know a single column tie and a basic friction

Solo or Partnered: Solo

Format: Online; not recorded

Language: English. Some occasional translation help can be provided upon request.

Material needed: 1 to 4 ropes and your safety cutting tool. Prepare an emergency plan in case something goes wrong while you tie. If you’d like, you can privately share your safety contact with us at the beginning of the class.

Price: $20/$15/$25 --- If you cannot afford this event, please check the ticket option “solidarity” for reduced ticket prices. If that is still too much, please send us a message. No one will be turned down for financial reasons. If you have the funds and would like to give extra support to the community, consider selecting the “supporter” ticket: your help would be greatly appreciated.

Other info: You will receive a link by email for the Point of Sale waiting room. You will be redirected from there to Zoom 15 minutes before the activity starts.

Kosmick

About Kosmick Kosmick has been involved in rope bondage for over eight years, self tying for much of that time. What first began as a way to learn to tie without a partner and to develop her bottoming skills soon grew into a passion all its own. Now, she self-ties to reconnect with herself, and ground herself in her body and in the present moment. This Ottawa-based rope enthusiast enjoys challenging herself in rope, creating difficult or restrictive positions. She believes that self-tying can fulfill many different desires, depending on the person and the moment, and finds that versatility enchanting.
