The legendary bass player Tony Levin will be in Ottawa at The Mavericks on April 29th with his band Stick Men.

Tony Levin, Chapman stick master, was first noticed for his work with Peter Gabriel and King Crimson. Then over the years, we saw Tony Levin doing many collaborations with renowned artists. Among others, Tony Levin has been involved in musical projects with musicians from Yes (ABWH) Dream Theater (Liquid Tension Experiment) in addition with Bozzio-Levin-Stevens trio.

In 2007, Tony Levin decided to take a more personal approach by forming Stick Men. Drummer Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson) and the virtuoso guitarist Markus Reuter complete the trio. Stick men now has seven albums to their credit.

The musical style of Stick men oscillates between Art Rock, Progressive Rock and sometimes Progressive metal. In their shows, Stick men also perform some interpretations of King Crimson and Robert Fripp’s music. In addition, a portion of the show will make room for improvisation and individual performances of musicians.
