Habib Koité and Bassekou Kouyaté are 2 eminences of African music. They will perform together on stage for an unprecedented international tour. Presented by Les Productions Nuits d’Afrique à l’année.

Habib Koité comes from a long line of griot Khassonké and is considered as the African Jimmy Hendrix thanks to his unique guitar playing. This modern troubadour is recognized as the biggest pop star of Mali by “Rolling Stone Magazine” he is one of the only world music artist who has sold more than 250 000 albums.

Bassekou Kouyaté has revolutionized the Ngoni practice and is recognized as one of the best player of this traditional instrument. His talent has won him two BBC 3 Awards for World Music and a Grammy nomination.

For this exceptional tour, Bassekou Kouyaté and Habib Koité will perform the songs from their repertoire.  Accompanied by the powerful voice of the Malian singer Aminata Sacko, this show will lead the public to experience the roots of the African blues.
