The Canadian Anishinaabe journalist and author Tanya Talaga is  awarded the Blue Metropolis 2024 First Peoples Prize, for the whole of her work. This prize is awarded to an indigenous writer whose literary work enhances Aboriginal culture, helps allochtones to better understand it and contributes to enriching literature.
