Luke Stewart & James Brandon Lewis

James Brandon Lewis is a New York-based critically acclaimed saxophonist and composer. His work has been described as “roaming, experimental funk”. His latest album, An Unruly Manifesto, is dedicated to legendary Jazz Greats Charlie Haden and Ornette Coleman and invokes the tones of James Blood Ulmer. He is joined by partner in crime and bass groovologist Luke Stewart, a fixture on the D.C jazz scene and member of Irreversible Entanglements (amongst many other projects) who brings his Afro-futurist rhythms to the mix.
