Lea Bertucci

Masterful woodwind instrumentalist Lea Bertucci concerns herself with the vast, boundless openness of space. Growing up in New York’s Hudson Valley, she was awed by the defunct cement mines, where her saxophone made deep reverberations. Her droning alto sax meditations, combined with piano, vibraphone and field recordings made anywhere from Mayan pyramids to New York subways, will take us to Saturn. Her harmonics accumulate and stretch toward infinity.
