'Living Together' is not new to Mosaïque. Since its inception, l'Ensemble Mosaïque has been exploring rhythms for highlighting the richness of diversity. Mosaïque is not unaccustomed to collaborations, but this is the first time that we assemble so many musicians and so many dancers, coming from different horizons and each one them bringing their own contribution to the show that is presented.

These experiences and collaborations have given us the idea of reuniting on the same stage Surojit Chatterjee, Racines Gumboot, Amrita Choudhury and Raja Bhattacharya as well as Mosaïque in order to present a canvas of songs and dances in their true traditional form, coloured by the distinct sound which Mosaïque has acquired thanks to the rhythmic variations coming from different parts of the world.

It is a great opportunity to demonstrate that music has no frontiers and through music and dance we can build a durable friendship based on intercultural understanding. The idea is the keep alive the rich tradition of Bengal through songs and to enable it to migrate towards distant lands, from the rivers of Bengal and Banglades to the shores of Saguenay and St. Laurent.
