The Bureau de la vie étudiante invites you to an hivernal hiking in the Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. This national park, located 40 km north of Québec City, has over 100 km of trails along the Jacques-Cartier River. This is a unique occasion to enjoy a winter day in the great Canadian outdoor and to admire the beauty of winter.

The activity consists of free trekking in the park. During the day, you will have access to the following trails: Le Confluent, Les Cascades, Le Chemin de la vallée et Le Draveur Sud.

Depending on the weather conditions and the amount of snow on the ground, the hike can be done in winter boots, crampons or snowshoes.

To learn more about the parc: Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier - National Parks - Sépaq (sepaq.com)

When: Saturday, December 17, 2022. Departure at 9:30 am between the Ernest-Lemieux and Alphonse-Desjardins pavilions. Return to the same place around 3:30 pm.

Cost: $28, including transportation by bus, park entry and snowshoes location.

Registration: Buy your ticket online before Thursday, December 8 at 11:45 pm. Space is limited: first come, first served!

Meal: On-site food services are limited. It is recommended to bring your own cold lunch and snacks if needed.

Clothing: The whole day is spent outside, so you should dress accordingly. As winter can be pretty cold, warm clothing (mittens, warm hat and scarf, wool socks, coat, winter boots) is in order.
