Dendroecology in practice (advanced)

The workshop will present advanced techniques in dendroecology in three sections. The first section will be a brief presentation on basic dendrochronological techniques. The second section will present a series of methods to better analyse climate-growth relationships. Participants will learn where to find and how to use relevant software, including CooRecorder, CDendro, COFECHA, CRUST, ClimateNA and dplR. In the third section, participants will have the opportunity to discuss their data and their work. If interested, participants can bring their laptops to the workshop.

L'atelier présentera les techniques avancées en dendroécologie en trois sections. La première section sera une présentation brève sur des techniques dendrochronologiques de base. La seconde section présentera une série de méthodes appliquées pour aboutir à des interprétations sur les relations climat-croissance. Les participants apprendront où trouver et comment utiliser les logiciels pertinents, notamment CooRecorder, CDendro, COFECHA, CRUST, ClimateNA et dplR. Dans la troisième section, les participants auront l'occasion de discuter de leurs données et de leurs travaux. S'ils sont intéressés, les participants peuvent apporter leurs ordinateurs portables à l'atelier.
