Redfox

RedFox writes honest vulnerable songs that leave listeners with a desire to hear more of their unusual yet familiar sound. The band got started in 2017 when bluegrass duo Jono Townsend and Tim Loten joined with singer-songwriter/classical violinist Daphnee Vandal. After adding bassist Sam Robinson and drummer Sam Neumann the band’s sound was complete.

RedFox has since released 2023 CFMA award winning album “Stranger Love”, achieved with support from FACTOR and the Canada Council for the Arts, as well as two four track EPs. After completing 30 dates in the United Kingdom and Canadian East Coast the group is now working on their second album set to be released in May 2024.

Your Neighbor, Tim

When we were new to town, our neighbour Tim loaned us tools, helped us plant a garden & made us feel welcome in our new neighbourhood. Similarly we hope our music can help others feel welcome wherever they happen to find themselves. Based in Montreal and hailing from Ottawa, Gatineau and New Brunswick, Your Neighbour Tim is a four-piece band of friends who’ve been playing music together over the last few years. Our first album is based in bluegrass and draws its inspiration from Punch Brothers, The Avett Brothers & other filial groups of talented musicians. Plummet is the first of what we hope will be many collections of original songs we’ve put together.

Frisco Lee

Born and bred in Montreal, Frisco Lee’s eccentric blend of country, folk and blues is well-known throughout the underground music circuit. Stylistically somewhere between Ray Charles, Dr. John and Bob Dylan, he’s been performing at bars, venues and festivals since 2010. In 2021, he released an album of self-produced compositions entitled “Fever Dream Supreme”. Accompanied by his crew of merry misfits, his musical arsenal ranges from slow ballads to electrifying bops. The Golden Gate features Erik Fines on bass, Patrick Kilcullen on keys and Freddy Poulin on drums.
