Mr. Hawk

Mr Hawk, led by queer lyricist/lead singer, Francis James Hawkins (formerly the main voca-
list for cult darkwave outfit La Mécanique), is a hard rock four piece, ailing from Montreal,
CA. Their fierce blend of grunge, goth rock and technical metal shares similarities with
contemporaries such as Avenged Sevenfold, Black Veil Brides and Motionless In White, as
well as 90s visionaries such as AFI, Marilyn Manson and Faith No More.
The project features riff-driven anthemic songs, propelled by cutthroat drum phrasing, me-
lodic guitar flurries and fiery vocals. The band’s modern and focused production, the work
of classically- trained guitarist and producer, Robin Mahiou, serves as the foundation, mel-
ding the musicians’ eclectic influences into a fearsome brand of nu metal.
