Sword:
Legendary Heavy Metal Band formed in 1980 in Saint-Bruno de Montarville by Rick Hughes (singer) and his brother Dan Hughes (percussion), guitarist Mike Plant and bassist Mike Larock. They signed their first commercial contract in 1986 and recorded two albums. From then on they are invited on tour with the likes of Motörhead ,Alice Cooper and also for Metallica’s Master of Puppets tour in Quebec with Metal Church. They then took a break from 1991 to 2011, later accepting a few rare appearances.
Sword is now back and presently recording their 3rd album and hot after headlining at the Harder than Steel Festival in Germany and two sold-out shows in Quebec City over the last few months, Sword is pumped to hit the stage in Montreal. On the menu: The best of their legendary album Metalized and the hard-hitting Sweet Dreams and in addition long-awaited new material 30 years in the making ! It is in Club Soda's unique intimacy that Sword and their Fans will meet on Friday, April 13 to shake the foundations.
