Inherited from Sub-Saharan African traditions, Gnawa music is characterized by its hypnotic rhythms, spiritual chants, and the use of traditional instruments such as the guembri and krakebs. As a committed artist, Maallem Cherkaoui, along with the group Marocouleurs, reinterprets this ancient music, making it accessible to a broader audience.
