Presented in the newly rennovated, accessible, and air conditioned Wagar auditorium: In the year 1595, William Shakespeare is a Renaissance rock star while playwright siblings Nick and Nigel Bottom are stuck in his shadow. Desperate to write a hit show, the Bottom brothers enlist the aid of a mysterious soothsayer who foresees they can beat the Bard’s success by creating a brand new form of theatre… the musical! With the help of Nick’s wife Bea, the lovely Puritan named Portia and a whole team of actors from their theatre troupe, Nick and Nigel find out there’s more to life than being famous and that above all else it is important to be true to yourself.
